"Project and Construction Management," or more commonly known as "Construction Project Management," is a specialized and independent professional field that is effectively applied worldwide in the Architecture-Engineering-Construction sector. Project and Construction Management is also an established academic research field based on a long series of scientific studies and discussions; there are numerous undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in this field on a global scale.

The Project and Construction Management graduate program at Istanbul Technical University, which has been in existence since 1975, is run by a program academic board specializing in the field, offering undergraduate and graduate programs in project and construction management, with up-to-date courses at the master's and doctoral levels.

The program targets graduates of Architecture and Civil Engineering departments who wish to specialize in project and construction management in the Architecture-Engineering-Construction sector. Within the scope of the program, strong relationships and collaborations are established with academic and industry representatives both domestically and internationally.

The ITU Project and Construction Management program trains managers who possess the technical skills and vision to lead multi-organizational teams working together throughout the project life cycle, who can take a holistic approach to projects, who can follow the dynamic processes of the sector, and who can use various project management tools and techniques to lead projects in the dynamic and constantly evolving Architecture-Engineering-Construction sector.
