Artificial intelligence, which is becoming more and more important in design education day by day, contains many risks and problems as well as the opportunities and conveniences it offers. For this reason, it is of great importance to use artificial intelligence tools in educational processes with a correct and balanced approach.

As the Dean's Office of ITU Faculty of Architecture, following the first workshop we organised in July last year with the focus theme "Current Observations and Experiences & Question-Problem Identification", we are organising a second workshop on Tuesday, 4 June 2024 with the focus theme " Generative Artificial Intelligence as a Tool in Education".

The workshop on 4 June will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Leman Figen Gül, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orkan Zeynel Güzelci, Assoc. Assoc. Salih Özdemir and Dr. Caner Güney, Prof. Neil Leach will give a framework speech in person, followed by a "thematic closed session" organised by each department with the call of the " department academic board" (Workshop poster is attached in the appendix).

It is expected that a discussion and evaluation will be made in the departmental committees on the following questions and solution suggestions will be reported. In order for the discussions to be conducted in a proper way, we consider it important and valuable for all members of our faculty to participate in both the panel, the framework speech and the academic boards. (The panel and the framework speech will also be open to external participation)
